Who should avoid Cinnamon Oil? Side Effects of Cinnamon Oil

Like all products with medicinal value, Cinnamon oil should not be used by everyone. Those with liver and or kidney complications would do best to avoid this oil, as would anyone with blood clotting issues, as the oil can act as an anticoagulant. Those living with alcoholism would also do best to avoid the use of cinnamon oil.

As the cinnamon oil from both the bark and the leaf tree can cause skin irritation if used directly, it is best to always dilute the oils in water or creams before applying to the body.
